Fees and Payment

We charge hourly rates for all the work we do. This includes consultations, travelling time (to your site), email advice, phone help and so on. We do not receive commissions or other kickbacks from retailers or service providers that we recommend. A minimum fee of one hour applies to regular appointments, and we will charge you if you break an appointment without notice, or keep us waiting.

If you are clear about what your problem is, we can often estimate what it is likely to cost when you call.

We don't provide fixed price services because that would mean overcharging almost everyone to allow for the cases which take longer (often because of factors outside our control, such as ISPs or disorganisation). It would also make it difficult for us to be flexible and respond to your needs (because we would have to stick to the template).

Our current hourly fee for most services, during business hours is $100 (inc GST). . Special services and after hours or emergency services cost more. Discounts apply for prompt payment (3%) and for seniors (5%) and charities (10%).

We expect payment at the time of consultation, unless other arrangements are made previously. We accept payment by cash, cheque (with ID), direct bank deposit or paypal. We only accept credit card payments via paypal.
