We were established last century (26 Feb 1999)!
We provide independent computer advice, technical support, help and individual / small group computer training. We specialise in home and small business computer users, and provide both on-site and off-site services. We aim to be helpful, prompt and flexible.
Our goal is to find solutions for you, without necessarily focussing on the newest technology, or selling you something. We charge hourly rates for our work, and don't sell equipment or take commissions, so our advice really is honest.
We are qualified and professional, and aware of the need to deal with you ethically, respect your privacy and maintain confidentiality. We have more experience than other firms and a better understanding of your needs. We explain things in plain english. We also make definite appointments, rather than holding you up.
Anne McEntee (the owner and principal consultant) has been using computers since the 80s, and can well remember the initial frustration involved. Anne's qualifications include a Graduate Diploma in IT (Monash), Bachelor of Science with 1st class honours, Certificate IV in IT Technical Support, Certificate IV in Workplace Assessment and Training. Prior to establishing The IT Girl in 1999, Anne acquired many years professional experience in various roles including computers, teaching / tutoring and science.
